Three first edition volumes. Bound in the original paper covered boards. Each volume has a colour frontispiece, and numerous full-page plates. A three part auction catalogue for Arpad Plesch's celebrated Botanical Library of Liechtenstein. Plesch was a Hungarian financer, banker and lawyer with a large collection of rare and important botanical books, with particular reference to medical botany and the botany of Hungary. The library was considered not only magnificent from a bibliographical point of view but also as a working library for a botanical garden. With a pamphlet of estimates inserted into the third volume.
