Tom Maschler’s bookplate to the front pastedown. Maschler is a publisher who worked for Jonathan Cape, who discovered and published authors including Ian McEwan and Gabriel Garcia Marquez.

In the original publisher's cloth binding, in the original unclipped dustwrapper. Externally, fine. Bookplate to the front pastedown. Author's inscription to the recto to the front endpaper. Dustwrapper with minor edgewear, resulting in a few closed tears. Light discolouration to the reverse of the dustwrapper. Internally, firmly bound. Pages are bright and clean.
