in the original publisher's cloth binding. Externally lovely with only minor shelfwear. Inscribed and signed by the author to the title page "To Michael, Happy birthday and love," undated. Loosely inserted, a birthday card inscribed "happy birthday and love" and signed by Hilary Rubinstein. The dustwrapper is unclipped and very smart with only minor shelfwear and a slight creasing to the spine. Internally, firmly bound. The pages are bright and clean.
