O'Brian was an English novelist, best known for his Aubrey-Maturin series of novels, sea novels set in the Royal Navy during the Napoleonic Wars.

In the original publisher's cloth binding, in the original unclipped dustwrapper. Externally, smart. Dustwrapper with some edgewear, with a small amount of loss to the head and tail of the spine. Fading to the spine, with light marks to the wraps, and couple of light spots to the reverse of the dustwrapper. Internally, firmly bound. Pages are bright and clean.
