Description
First Edition, Publishers' Original Binding, With Dustwrapper
A first edition copy of this collection of poems by John Betjeman, kept as new in the original publisher's bright yellow cloth binding. John Betjeman was an English poet, writer, and broadcaster, very prominent amongst the poets of the twentieth century. His writing focuses on the beauty of Britain's landscapes and architecture as well as giving a commentary on the contemporary society and its superficiality through the use of satire. A reviewer mentioned in the original fly leaves refers to Betjeman's poems as "crystalline fragments of time past preserved intact through the dissolving years." With unclipped dustwrapper.
