The first edition of this work. With the bookplate of Hugo Dunn-Meynell to the front pastedown. Meynell was responsible for rejuvenating the International Food and Wine Society. He was a businessman and writer who loved food and wine. This work discusses wines from around the world, with chapters on French wine; Spanish wine; Portugal and Madeiran wine; Mediterranean Wines; and wines of South Africa, Australia and the Americas.

In the original full cloth binding and held in original unclipped dustwrapper. Externally, smart with bumping to the head and tail of spine. Some slight fading to the head and tail of spine. Dustwrapper is price-clipped. Bumping to the head and tail of wraps. Slight age toning to the edges of wraps. Bookplate to front pastedown of Hugo Dunn-Meynell. Internally, firmly bound. Pages are bright. The odd spot to foredge.
