George William Headley was an American jewelry designer, collector and founder of the Headley-Whitney Museum in Lexington, Kentucky.
This lovely work displays Headley's collection of bibelots and boxes with short descriptions to each giving their jeweler, country of origin where relevant, and materials and jewels used.
Richly illustrated throughout with 87 colour plates.
Condition
In the original cloth binding. In the matching original slipcase. Externally, very smart with minor rubbing with small losses to the spine title. Light sunning to the spine with a few brown marks. Slipcase is also very smart with light rubbing to the extremities and a couple marks to the cloth. Internally, firmly bound. Pages are generally bright and clean with the odd spot.
