Rebound in half calf with cloth to the boards. 

This work is written by Jawaharlal Nehru, the former first Prime Minister of India and the leader of the Indian Nationalist movement. The work was written, along with other works, during Nehru's time in prison due to his political activism. The work begins with the ancient history of India and leads up to the last years of the British rule of the Indian subcontinent.

Condition

Rebound in a calf calf binding with cloth to the boards. Externally very smart with slight rubbing to the extremities of the boards and the odd minor mark to the spine and boards. Bookplate belonging to 'Tessier-Yandell' to the front pastedown and binders stamp from 'Satra Bandhu Book Binders' to the front free endpaper. Internally firmly bound with bright and clean pages with a minor mark to the title page. The odd spot to the fore edges.
