A scarce early edition. In the publisher's original, full cloth binding, with the original clipped dust wrapper. With a frontispiece, ten colour plates and numerous monochrome plates, showcasing the different designs. Collated complete. A comprehensive work on the porcelains of Coalport and Coalbrookdale, intended as a companion volume to Godden's popular, 'Caughley & Worcester Porcelains' volume. With information on the Caughley factory at the dawn of the nineteenth century. Geoffrey Godden is an author, collector and British authority on ceramics. The half title page is present.

Condition

In the publisher's original full cloth binding. Externally excellent with little shelf wear. Scattered spots to the rear paste-down and free endpaper. The original clipped dust wrapper is in very smart condition. Very light shelf wear to the edges. Light spotting to the inside of the dust wrapper. Small price label to the front flyleaf. Internally, firmly bound. Pages very bright and clean with some scattered spots towards the front and rear of the volume.
