The first edition of this work. In the original unclipped dustwrapper. An interesting and thorough work on the Cartesian vortex theory of planetary motions. Illustrated with numerous in-text illustrations. Written by E. J. Aiton, who was a lecturer in the mathematics department in Didsbury College of Education in Manchester. Prior owner's ink inscription to the front pastedown and to the recto to the front free endpaper.

In the original publisher's cloth binding, in the original unclipped dustwrapper. Externally, smart. Dustwrapper with a little discolouration, and a few light marks. Prior owner's ink inscription to the front pastedown and to the recto to the front free endpaper. Internally, firmly bound. Pages are bright and clean.
