A limited edition work, limited to one thousand numbered copies for sale, of which the first two hundred and fifty were specially bound and signed by the composer. This copy is numbered one-hundred and ninety-five. Signed by the composer to the edition page. 7-inch record of the 1929 recording of 'Facade' is present to the pocket to the box. In the original cloth presentation box. Presentation box is in a very good indeed condition. Facade' is a charming poem by Edith Sitwell, here put to music by William Walter. 'Facade' is a series of poems, recited over an instrumental accompaniment. The poem 'Facade' received a glowing review by Siegfried Sassoon. Illustrated with a colour frontispiece, and one colour plate. Edith Sitwell was the eldest of the three literary Sitwells, and published poetry continuously from 1913. Put to music by William Walter, with the sheet music printed in this work. Walton was a noted English composer.

Condition

In the original quarter morocco binding with patterned paper to the boards, in the original cloth presentation box. Externally, fine. Presentation box is lightly discoloured, mostly to the spine, with some light marks and some wear. Internally, firmly bound. Pages are bright and clean. Presentation box is in a very good indeed condition.
