What Our Customers Say...

Description

Colour Plates, Illustrated, Original Binding, Publishers' Original Binding

Hungarian language. An exciting and enchantingly animated collection of circus scenes and stories. With eight full color pop-up scenes. All with additional movable elements. Illustrated by Vojtěch Kubašta, a Czech architect and artist, who designed three-dimensional cards to advertise porcelain, sewing machines and pencils. In 1956, he designed his first fairy tale pop-up book: Little Red Riding Hood.

Condition

Coloured illustrated paper over card. Externally, smart with some shelf wear to the extremities. Internally, firmly bound. Pages are bright and clean with the odd handling mark. Five of the eight pop-up scenes are in excellent condition. Scene two has multiple bends disrupting the scene and sympathetic repairs made with tape to one character. Scene seven has also been bent disrupting part of the scene's moveable element, the other half is in perfect working order. Scene eight has multiple folds and one character has been removed from the page.
