This novel was an important model for the 1974 satirical western film 'Blazing Saddles'.
Ishmael Reed is an American poet, essayist, and writer who is known for his satirical works that challenge American political culture. His most well-known work is 'Mumbo Jumbo', which has remained in print for forty-five years since its first publication.

In the original publisher's cloth binding, in the original unclipped dustwrapper. Externally, excellent with no noticeable faults. Dust wrapper is also in an excellent condition, with a light amount of edgewear around the spine. Light age-toning to margins of rear wrap and fly leaves. Internally, firmly bound. Pages are very bright and clean throughout.
