Illustrated with twenty-five colour photographic plates and many in black and white by Italian photographer Fulvio Roiter. Collated complete. 

This work provides a historical sketch of Turkey, written by Freya Stark, a British-Italian explorer and travel writer. The work combines interesting historical information  with Roiter's beautiful photography to create a depiction of Turkey's rich history, scenery, architecture and culture.

Condition

In the publisher's original cloth with the original unclipped dust wrapper. Externally lovely. The wrap is excellent with slight marks, minor fading to the front and marks to the verso. Internally firmly bound with age toned and generally bright pages occasional light spotting.
