First edition of The Detective Wore Silk Drawers by Peter Lovesey in the original publisher's cloth binding and unclipped dust wrapper.
A crime detective novel set in the Victorian era, and the second of Lovesey's novels to feature his characters Sergeant Daniel Cribb and his assistant Constable Thackeray. It was adapted into a BBC Radio Saturday Night Theatre show in 1977.
Peter Lovesey was a British writer of detective novels, many of them in historical settings.
Condition
In the original publisher's cloth binding and unclipped dust wrapper. Externally, very smart. There is some light bumping to the head and tail of the spine and to the extremities, and some light spotting to the fore edge. There is some slight wear to the extremities of the dust wrapper and some light marks. Internally, firmly bound. The pages are very bright and clean.
