What Our Customers Say...

Description

First Edition, Illustrated, Publishers' Original Binding, With Dustwrapper

The first edition of this work by H W Tilman, in the unclipped dustwrapper.

This volume comprises the narrative of three expeditions led by Tilman: Jan Mayen in the Arctic Circle, voyage in which the trusted Mischief met its end after drifting at night into a rock; the East greenland coast expedition of the following summer, with a new crew and a new boat, Sea Breeze; and the completion of the expedition the following summer, in which Sea Breeze fully negotiated the ice-barrier and put in to West Greenland.

An exciting work written in Tilman's characteristic dry humour.

With various illustrations throughout.
