The first UK edition. In full red cloth binding with the publisher's original unclipped dust wrapper. In this commonplace book, W. H. Auden chooses a wide variety of readings which have moved or inspired him throughout his life. Featuring the writings of such authors as 'C. S. Lewis' and 'J. R. R. Tolkien'.

Condition

In a full cloth binding. Externally, very smart with some light shelf wear to the extremities and a few marks to the boards. Light offsetting to the paste-downs and free endpapers. The original, unclipped dust wrapper is in good condition. Fading and offsetting to the spine. Shelf wear and some chipping to the edges. Marks to the panels. Internally, firmly bound. Pages very bright and clean.
