What Our Customers Say...
Description
First Edition, Illustrated, Original Binding, Publishers' Original Binding, With Dustwrapper
Two volumes. First edition. Illustrated throughout with colour images. Written and illustrated by Helen Layfield Bradley, an English artist whose paintings, mostly in oils, typically depict life in Lancashire in the Edwardian era. She was over sixty when she first began to paint - to show her young granddaughter what life was like when she herself was a child. Each of these stories is a detailed recollection of the artist's childhood, becoming a delightful narrative of of a gentle period.
