Description

This work was compiled by Robert Dodsley (1703-1764), an English poet, writer and bookseller known for publishing many of Samuel Johnson's works, including financing his dictionary. Dodsley founded a number of periodicals, including 'The Museum', which ran three volumes between 1746 and 1767.

The periodical includes essays, poems, philosophy, reviews, politics, histories and other literature.

A scarce reprint of an early periodical, in excellent condition.

Complete in three volumes.

Condition

In the publisher's original full cloth binding. Externally very smart, with just the slightest minor wear, a few marks to the edges. Internally, firmly bound. Pages are bright and clean.
