The third edition. In the original full cloth binding with the original, clipped, dust wrapper. Complete with a folding plate to the rear of the book. 'The I Ching', is a classic Chinese divination text written by Hellmut Wilhelm. In the 2nd century BC, it became one of the 'Five Classics', regarding Confucianism, and has since become a famous and widely studied text for the basis of divination across the world. It's popularity resurfaced during the 1960s counterculture period, and was referenced and promoted by notable pop figures such as Joni Mitchell, The Beatles, and Jorge Luis Borges. With a foreword by Carl Jung, the world famous psychiatrist and founder of analytical psychology. The Richard Wilhelm translation, rendered into English by Cary F. Baynes. The half title page is present.

In the original full cloth binding. Externally, excellent with light shelf wear to the edges. Light marks to the boards. The original, clipped dust wrapper is in smart condition. Fading and marks to the spine. Chipping to the upper spine. Light staining to the inside of the dust wrapper. Marks to the panels. Internally, firmly bound. Pages very bright and clean. Scattered spots to the fore-edge.
