What Our Customers Say...
Description
First Edition, Publishers' Original Binding, With Dustwrapper
The first edition of this spy novel by Agatha Christie, one of the most prolific crime authors in the twentieth century. In the unclipped dust wrapper, with the price £1.25 stamped in preparation for decimalisation in February 1971.
Published to mark Christie's eightieth birthday, it was one of the five novels never to have received an adaptation of any kind.
The plot evolves around the character of Sir Stafford Nye as he is approached by a mysterious woman at Frankfurt Airport. She claimed her life is in danger, so Nye lends her his travelling cloak, passport, and boarding ticket. Their paths cross again and again, and each time the mystery woman is introduced as a different person.
