Tom Maschler's bookplate to the front pastedown. Maschler was the head of Jonathan Cape, who was one of the key figures in creating the Booker Prize in the 1960s. In the original unclipped dustwrapper. A collection of five lectures and two articles, including the moving titular lecture 'Fears of Fragmentation'. Written by Arnold Wesker, an English dramatist who wrote fifty plays during his career.
In the original publisher's cloth binding, in the original unclipped dustwrapper. Externally, smart. Very minor bumping to the head and tail of the spine and to the extremities. A couple of light marks to the rear board. Dustwrapper with a few light marks, and some minor edge wear. Bookplate to the front pastedown. Internally, firmly bound. Pages are bright and clean.
