What Our Customers Say...

Description

Colour Plates, First Edition, Illustrated, With Dustwrapper

The first edition of this work in the publisher's original cloth binding, with the original price-clipped dust wrapper. Illustrated with a colour frontispiece, 10 further plates in colour, and over 200 photographs in black and white. Collated complete. Coalport in Shropshire was a centre of porcelain and pottery production between about 1795 and 1926. In this volume, Geoffrey Godden identifies the early, unmarked Coalport porcelains, and the products of the little-known partnership of Messrs. Anstice, Horton, and Thomas Rose. This is a very useful illustrated guide for readers who collect Coalport and Coalbrookdale porcelain.

Condition

In publisher's original cloth binding, with original price-clipped dust wrapper. Externally very smart, with just a couple of small marks to the boards. Front hinge is tender, showing the webbing. Internally, firmly bound. Pages are very bright and clean. Dust wrapper is a little age toned, with chipping to the head of the spine; otherwise very smart.
