What Our Customers Say...

Description

First Edition, Illustrated, Publishers' Original Binding

A lovely first edition copy of this work.

This volume is primarily concerned with the houses built between 1685 and 1715 and are considered Baroque in style.
The Baroque is a style of architecture, music, painting and arts that flourished in Europe from the early Seventeenth Century until the 1750s. The Baroque style used contrast, movement, detail and grandeur to achieve a sense of awe within the designs.

Richly illustrated throughout the volume.
