Spike Milligan (1918-2002) was a British-Irish comedian, actor, writer and poet. His writings include an assortment of non-fiction, children's works, poetry and his 'According To' books, which see the author retelling such classics as 'Wuthering Heights', 'Frankenstein', 'Robin Hood' and 'Treasure Island'. He was the co-creator of radio show 'The Goon Show', which hit television screens with Q5, a strong influence on Monty Python's Flying Circus.
