The descriptive travel account of Christian Ignatius Latrobe's travels to South Africa in 1815 and 1816. Latrobe set out as a missionary, voyaging to the Cape of Good Hope and founding a new mission station on the Witrivier.
Illustrated with a frontispiece, one folding map, twelve colour plates, and four monochrome plates.
