Eve Merriam retells the story of Epaminondas originally created by Sara Cone Bryant. The story was originally a folk tale that was told aloud within communities in the Southern Sates of America. 

Illustrated by Trina Schart Hyman and in the original unclipped dust wrapper.

Condition

In the publisher's original cloth binding. Externally, very smart with some light bumping to the head and tail of the spine. Front free endpaper is cut to the top corner. Internally, firmly bound with bright and clean pages. in the original unclipped dust wrapper which is smart with some marks to the wraps and spine.
