The first edition of this work. A charming collection of Searle's best and most recent drawings at the time. With one hundred and four illustrations in black and white which portray a full picture of Europe's most accomplished cartoonist. 

In the unclipped dust wrapper.

Condition

In the original publisher's cloth binding. Externally excellent with only minor shelf wear and some bumping to the head and tail of the spine and to the extremities. Inscribed by a previous owner to the front free endpaper, dated '68. The dust wrapper is unclipped and smart with some shelf wear and edge wear, some chipping throughout as well as some minor closed tear tape repaired internally to the wraps. The spine of the wrapper is slightly sunned. internally, firmly bound. The pages are bright and clean with only a faint hint of age toning to the margins, as usual. Fully illustrated in black and white.
