First Edition, Illustrated, Publishers' Original Binding

An interesting volume on the history of London's Worshipful Company of Fletchers and the Ancient Company of Longbowstringmakers, with a foreword by the contemporary Mayor of London, Sir Charles Trinder. The Fletchers' Company is one of London's 110 Livery Companies, ranking 39th in the order of precedence immediately below the bowyers. Prior owner's ink inscription to the recto of the front endpaper, 'L. Wogle, 'Cheriot', Clay Lane, Manchester, M23, 9LG', dated June 1969.

Condition

In the publisher's original blue cloth binding with gilt crest of the The Worshipful Company of Fletchers to the front board. Externally, very smart. Very lightly rubbed to the boards, with some light bumping to the head and tail of the spine. Internally, firmly bound, with bright and clean pages throughout.
