In the original Portuguese.

The first edition of this very scarce work, with the publisher's original paper wraps bound in.

A lovely study of the life of Blaise Pascal, the French mathematician, physicist, inventor, writer and Christian philosopher. Pascal's earliest work was in the natural and applied sciences, where he made important contributions to the study of fluids, and clarified the concepts about pressure and vacuums.

Pascal also wrote in defence of the scientific method.

With a contemporary inscription and stamp to a front blank.

Condition
