Part of a wider series of publications by the Canterbury and York society but these two volumes form a complete work. The Canterbury and York society is a British text publication society that works to republish editions of English medieval ecclesiastical records, of significant use for historical research. John Pecham was Archbishop of Canterbury from 1279 to 1292, known for his writings on optics, philosophy and theology and his opposing theological views to that of Thomas Aquinas.

Condition

In a full green cloth library binding for Croydon library with gilt library numbers to the spine. Externally, in excellent condition with just some shelfwear. Croydon Central Reference Library bookplate to front pastedown of each volume. Internally, firmly bound. Pages bright and clean.
