By Harold William Rickett, from The New York Botanical Garden, and edited by William C. Steere, Director of The New York Botanical Garden. 

Beautifully illustrated by numerous artists, including Clar A. Brown, Robert C. Godfrey, Robert Kral, Albert E. Radford, Aaron J. Sharp, Daniel B. Ward, Robert L. Wilbur, and Carroll E. Wood. 

Containing two hundred and forty-one plates illustrated in colour, along with numerous in-text illustrations. Also containing a folding map of the United States to the pastedowns and endpapers. 

Collated and complete. 

In the original cloth binding, lacking the slipcase.

Condition

In the publisher's original cloth binding. Externally, very smart, with just a touch of bumping to the head and tail of the spine and extremities. A few light marks to the boards. Internally, firmly bound. Pages are bright and clean.
