A transcription of Charles C. Well's Bradshaw lecture, delivered in October 1966 and reprinted the following year from the annals of the Royal College of Surgeons. Signed by the author. Charles C. Wells was vice-president of the Royal College of Surgeons, and in this work he discusses the jejunum and ileum (the middle and end parts of the small intestine), and their uses as a urinary conduit, a urinary reservoir, and as a substitute for valvular mechanisms. Author's presentation copy. Ink inscription to title page reads 'To Tom, Like whom there is none other' followed by author's signature and date June 1967.
Condition
In blue cloth binding. Externally smart, with some very light rubbing to the front and rear boards, and some marginal wear to the extremities. Internally, firmly bound. Pages bright and clean.
