First Edition, Original Binding, Uncommon

The first edition, second printing. First published autumn 1966. With a stamp to the front of the wrap stating the work won the Governor General's Award. This award is presented every year by the Governor General of Canada recognising success in academic, social and artistic fields. The Circle Game, named after the children's game also called Ring a Ring a Rosie, considers the inherent tensions and dualities between the sexes as well as wider perception and reality.

Condition

In the original paper wraps. Externally smart with handling marks and age toning to the wrap. Governor's General's Award sticker to front of wrap. Slight creasing to the wrap. Internally firmly bound. Pages generally bright and clean with marginal age toning to the extremities.
