Description

First Edition, Publishers' Original Binding, With Dustwrapper

The first edition, first impression of this work.

In the publisher's original dust wrapper and original cloth binding.

This short novel centres on a high school juvenile delinquent as he causes havoc through a small town in Nebraska in the space of one day.

However, the victims of his attacks seem to be complicit and almost expectant of these events.

Author Wright Morris was known for experimenting with narrative forms in his works as well as themes of masculinity and boyhood, as is evident through this novel's comparisons between the unpredictable twists of nature and that of the protagonist.
