    In the original unclipped dust wrapper.

    Christopher Hussey's wonderful work illustrating the principal gardens and garden architecture of the country houses of Britain during the first half of the eighteenth century.

    With descriptive chapters in particular on Powis Castle, Castle Howard, Stourhead, and more. 

    Illustrated with a frontispiece, and many plates throughout.

    Collated, complete.

    Hussey was a leading authority on the domestic architecture of Britain.

    In the original publisher's cloth binding, in the original unclipped dust wrapper. Externally, smart. Minor bumping to the spine and extremities. A few minor marks to the boards and spine. Dust wrapper is a little edge worn, heavier to the head, with some small marks. Internally, firmly bound. Pages are bright and clean.
