A very smart, two volume collection of Penguin Comic Books, including brief histories of comics and illustrations, comics in the United Kingdom, and comics in the United States. 

Including the first edition of this work, published in 1967 and containing illustrations in black and white, as well as the revised edition, published in 1971 and containing illustrations in black-and-white and in colour.

Condition

In the publisher's original paper wraps. Externally, very smart and bright, with minor shelf wear and some age-toning to the extremities. Internally, both volumes firmly bound. A small hole to page 99 in the 1971 volume. Pages are generally bright and clean.
