The first edition of this work. Concerning The Savoy, literary and art magazine published in 1896, featuring authors such as W. B. Yeats, Max Beerbohm, Joseph Conrad, Aubrey Beardsley. The work was published by Leonard Smithers, known pornographer and controversial figure of the time.

With charming black and white illustrations.

Edited with an introduction by Stanley Weintraub.

Complete with price clipped dust wrapper.

Condition

In the original publisher's quarter cloth binding over pictorial boards. Externally lovely. Dust wrapper price clipped and excellent with minor shelf wear only. Internally, firmly bound. Pages bright and clean.
