Written and illustrated by Robert Hans van Gulik, a Dutch orientalist, diplomat, musician, and writer, best known for the Judge Dee historical mysteries.

Condition

In the original blue cloth binding. Externally, very smart with minor wear to the extremities. Original price-clipped dust wrapper is excellent. Internally, firmly bound. Pages are very bright and clean throughout. A tear to the rear endpaper.
