The original copy of the manuscript belonging to the Guennol Collection and the Pierpont Morgan Library. An illuminated manuscript, described as one of the masterpieces of European illumination. A book of hours with prayers, offices, and litanies.
Collating complete with one hundred and sixty coloured plates accompanied by commentaries.
In the original publisher's paper vellum boards binding, with titles stamped in gilt to spine. Externally, lovely with minor shelfwear only. Small sticker to tail of spine. Slipcase is excellent with only minor shelfwear and small sticker to rear board. Internally, firmly bound. Pages are bright and clean. Collating complete with one hundred and sixty plates.
