Inscribed to Sir Roger Mellor Makins, 1st Baron Sherfield, a British diplomat who was British Ambassador to the United States for three years: 'For Roger, to bring him some chuckles with affection, Kay Halle, Washington D. C. 1970'.

Written by journalist and socialite Kay Halle; Halle was either a love or a close confidant to such figures as Randolph Churchill, George Gershwin, Walter Lippman and Buckminster Fuller.

The first edition of this work, complete with a bright dust wrapper.

Condition

In the publisher's original full cloth binding with an unclipped dust wrapper. Externally generally smart, with a little bumping to the tail of the spine. Dust wrapper has tape repairs to the head and tail of the spine; some slight chipping to the head and tail of the spine and the extremities.
