Written by Alison Uttley the prolific writer and noted author of the 'Little Grey Rabbit' series. This volume features a collection of essays by Uttley, 12 in total, which are titled as follows: A Peck of Gold; The Snow-baby; A Writer's Inheritance; Fears and Fancies; The Favourite Room; Some Early Books; Imagination; County Chests; The Lecture; Country Doctoring; Visit to the Dentist; Scotties. This collection centre on the author's childhood memories, and are accompanied by illustrations by C. F. Tunnicliffe, the highly recognised wildlife artist.

Condition

In the publisher's original cloth binding, held in the original unclipped dustwrapper. Externally smart, Minor shelfwear to the extremities, and light offsetting to the front rear boards.The dustwrapper is generally smart, with light bumping to the spine and extremities. Tide mark to the rear of the wrap, to the head, also affecting the wrap internally. Very light offsetting internal to the wrap. Internally firmly bound. Pages are bright and clean.
