Description

A two volume set of The Wrightsman Collection, housed in the original slipcase.

The first two volumes consider furniture, gilt bronzes and carpets. Within these volumes the foremost private collection in the United states of French eighteenth century furniture and art objects is catalogued. These works are written by F. J. B. Watson, who was director of the Wallace Collection.

The first volume explores just furniture, whereas, the second volume catalogues furniture, gilt bronzes and carpets.

With thirty five colour plates and three hundred and thirty two illustrations, with a folding plate to volume two.
Collated, complete.

Both are in the original unclipped dust wrappers and slipcase.

Condition

In the publisher's original cloth binding. Externally, lovely. Internally, firmly bound with bright and clean pages. Both are in the original unclipped dust wrappers which are generally lovely with some light chipping to the extremities and a small chip to the tail of the spine of vol. i.
