Description

Leather Binding, Rebound, Signed Binding

Alfred Bossom (6th October 1881- 4 September 1965) was an English architect and Conservative Party politician. As an architect he designed many high-rise buildings in the United States of America, including the Liberty Building in New York, as well as inventing a device to prevent suffocation if they were locked mistakenly in a bank vault. Later, as a politician in the United Kingdom, he served as MP for Maidstone. He hosted the wedding of Margaret Thatcher and Denis Thatcher at his home in 1953.

This is an informative volume detailing British Parliament written by a well regarded politician.

Inscription 'To Ed + Vere. In memory of the Author. Clive 1965'. Following page blank is signed 'With best wishes from the author Bossom of Maidstone, 10th August 1965'. The book is dedicated to and inscribed by Clive Bossom, Lord Bossom's son. Clive was also a Conservative Party politician and MP for the now obsolete constituency Leominster.
