The first UK edition of this work in the publisher's original cloth binding, with the original unclipped dust wrapper. Thomas Berger (1924-2014) was an American novelist who explored many genres. In this work, his best known novel, Berger created a satire of the western genre. It is a picaresque novel which was adapted into a popular 1970 film.
Condition
In the publisher's original cloth binding, with the original unclipped dust wrapper. Externally, cloth is smart, with a bump to the upper extremity of the front board and a slightly slanted spine. Internally, firmly bound. Pages are lightly age toned but clean. Dust wrapper is mostly smart, but sunned with chipping to the head and tail of the spine, and three tape repairs to the verso.
