First edition, first printing of Daughter of the Tejas by Ophelia Ray (Larry McMurtry) in the original publisher's cloth binding and unclipped dust wrapper.
The novel is set in America before colonial exploration, and tells the story of young protagonist Tiwana, part of the Tejas tribe, who is trying to find her mother who has been kidnapped.
Larry McMurtry wrote this novel under the pseudonym Ophelia Ray as a ghost writer. He was an American author who typically wrote novels set in the Old West and Texas.
Condition
In the original publisher's cloth binding and unclipped dust wrapper. Externally, excellent. Some very slight wear to the extremities of the dust wrapper. There is some very light bumping to the head and tail of the spine. Internally, firmly bound. The pages are very bright and clean.
