The first edition of this work in the publisher's original cloth binding, with the original unclipped dust wrapper. Peter Elstob was a British soldier, adventurer, novelist, military historian, and entrepreneur. In this work, the author draws on his own experiences in the Spanish Civil War in the Republican Army, and recaptures the sounds, sights, and feel of those days.

Condition

In publisher's original cloth binding, with original unclipped dust wrapper. Externally, cloth is in immaculate condition. Internally, firmly bound. Pages are very bright and clean, with only very faint offsetting to the end papers. Dust wrapper remains bright and very smart.
