What Our Customers Say...
Description
First Edition, Publishers' Original Binding, With Dustwrapper
The first edition by the renowned author William Golding, winner of the Nobel Prize in Literature in 1983 and listed as one of the fifty greatest British writers since 1945 by The Times. He is best known for his novels Lord of the Flies and Rites of Passage, for which he won the Booker Prize in 1980.
This novel is another masterpiece by this author: an evocation of a totally obsessed or possessed will, and of the very feel and texture of the building which the will created. Confirming his status as a great writer, The Spire is a highly imaginative and original story that one should not miss.
