A touching short essay written on the birth of Laurie Lee's first child, Jessy, in 1964. The essay ponders the wonders of birth and childhood.

Illustrated with five plates.

Condition

In the original publisher's cloth binding, in the original unclipped dustwrapper. Externally, fine, with just a touch of discolouration. Dustwrapper with a small closed tear to the tail of the front wrap, and discolouration to the wraps. A very small amount of edgewear, and an ink mark to the rear flyleaf. Internally, firmly bound. Pages are bright and clean.
