What Our Customers Say...
Description
First Edition, Publishers' Original Binding, With Dustwrapper
In the original unclipped dust wrapper.
The first edition of this work.
Comprising of fourteen stories total.
There is a stark contrast between the work of the two authors, with Johnson's setting in England and Ghose in the Indian countryside. With tales capturing wartime childhood, the plight of pop idols and much more.
The preface notes that this volume represents 'a joint attempt to affirm the importance of the short story as a literary form... it is also an attempt, and a successful one, to entertain at all levels.'
